Vitamix 4500

I own a red color Vita-Mix 4500 blender and to tell you the truth, it is one of the best blenders I have ever known. The looks of this blender are elegant and classic. Though this blender comes in three colors; white, red and black, I opted for red as it compliments my kitchen very well.

It's been almost a year now and till date it has proved to be efficient. The blades used in this blender are made from non-corrosive material. The jar is a new BPA- free Carafe made of Tritan copolyester. This jar comes with a unique lid-locking mechanism, which avoids any kind of spillage. It has a removable thermoplastic lid, which allows me to add things while blending, as in smoothie one requires to do that often! Its 2 Peak HP motor is efficient and thermally protected.

I use it almost everyday, as I need to make smoothies everyday. The world's best smoothies are made by my blender. The purees and soups turn out wonderful and so do the sauces. My blender also includes 'wet blade' which can be efficiently used for blending such variety of foods.

This best smoothie blender is just perfect and blends uniquely. It provides various speed levels which allow perfect consistency. It’s not that I can only blend purees and sauces; but it also chops food items like mushroom, onions, tomatoes etc. In India, making buttermilk and lassi is like an everyday activity and my blender does it efficiently.

To tell you more, my best blender comes with a recipe booklet, which provides various blending tips and recipes. I tried making 'nut butter' the other day and believe me guys, it turned out just fine. This blender allows me to experiment with various ingredients and every time I do it, there's a new discovery for sure!

This blender is no doubt a bit noisy. It is also a bit bulky and occupies a large area in my kitchen. I sometime wonder why it does not provide me a separate container for dry blending of spices. That would have made a lot of things easier. But apart from all that, this blender is truly cost efficient and provides 'Value for money'.
